Project installed by Hubbell Electro-Mechanical,
New Mexico’s largest Mitsubishi Electric dealer.
This home was originally completed in two phases. The first phase had Entran II in-floor radiant heating which was failing. The installation included (2) Mitsubishi Electric SEZ series concealed-ducted fan coils in the attic, (2) MSZ series highwall fancoils on the 2nd floor and a MXZ-8B48NA outdoor heat pump rated at 54,000 BTUs/hour cooling and 60,000 BTUs/hour heating. At 5° F. and 7,000’ ASL, rated heating output at site is 30,460 BTUs/hour. The heat pump system, without any backup heating, is the sole source of heating for the first phase.
Existing access to attic was 24”x24” scuttle, so an access panel was installed behind 2nd floor toilet.
It was necessary to install ductwork in the first floor living space and soffits were built to conceal, including drywall and faux painting to match existing finishes.
